LWVKKC to host forum for candidates in primary elections for the state legislature July 18

To enable voters to hear the candidates respond to questions about important issues in the Thursday, August 4, Regular Election, the League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox Co. is sponsoring a candidate forum in partnership with American Muslim Advisory Council; East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists; Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy UTK; Knoxville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Knoxville Area Urban League; Knoxville Branch of the NAACP; and YWCA of Knoxville and the TN Valley.

Kent A. Morrell, State Senate, District 7, Republican


Bryan Langan, State Senate, District 7, Democrat

Where:      Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 2931 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee, 37919


Early voting will take place July 15-30, 2022, and election day is Thursday, August 4, 2022.
