The Cove at Concord Park to Host Free Fishing Day

Knox County and the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) will sponsor Free Fishing Day from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 10 at The Cove at Concord Park (11808 S. Northshore Drive).

This event is geared toward families and children and allows those who participate to fish without a license for the day.

TWRA will stock the pond with catfish prior to the event. Also state representatives will be on hand to answer any questions.

The pond also contains bluegill and bass.

The annual event allows anyone, but especially children, the opportunity to try this great outdoor sport and to celebrate fishing as a wholesome and healthy recreation option.
