"And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh." Genesis 9:14-15 (KJV).

A look toward the sky often reveals white, billowy clouds against a blue backdrop.  Sometimes, lightning streaks down from the heavens.  But nothing compares to the breathtaking beauty of a multicolored rainbow.  The arch of colors stretched across the sky may bring calmness after a storm.  Occasionally, a double rainbow may be seen.  Rainbows are more than a pretty sight.  Christians see the rainbow as a promise from God, a reminder from our heavenly Father that he will never again flood the earth and destroy all life.  Often told as a children's Bible story, the passage about Noah, the ark, and the flood is fascinating and inspirational.  The best part about the story—it is true.  As the rainbow forms in the sky, it may last only briefly.  But the promise from God lasts forever.

Words of Faith: "And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.  And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth." Genesis 9:16-17 (KJV).
