Community Bike Ride, Saturday, Dec. 17, 4 p.m.

Kickstand Knoxville is sponsoring a Holiday Bike Ride on December 17 beginning at 4 p.m. Kickstand is located at the Macedonia UMC at 4630 Holston Dr. Bike decorating and bike safety checks start at 3 p.m. and bikes and helmets will be available to borrow. Snacks and hot drinks will be on offer after the leisurely four-mile ride. The probable route will be from the church down to Austin East High School and return, with a diversion around Speedway Circle and a possible detour to Chilhowee Park.

Unlike Tour de Lights, streets will not be closed to traffic for this ride, so only riders who are secure in the saddle will want to undertake it.
