Summer was his season.  Before heart disease ended his days of dairy farming, our father depended on the summer months to fill the barn with hay to feed livestock for the winter; and in late summer, he would harvest sileage to fill the silo which also helped feed the cows in the winter.  He depended on the Creator to provide all that he needed.

It seems appropriate that following the month of May when we celebrate the mothers of this great land comes the summer month of June and the special holiday we know as Father's Day.  The dynamics of the family as we once knew it has changed.  Sadly, the Covid pandemic has claimed the lives of fathers of all ages since it began more than two years ago.  As the family holiday approaches, it is important to remember and pay tribute to those fathers no longer with us.  It is also important to celebrate and honor those fathers who are still among us.  Along with our earthly fathers, may we also remember to worship our Heavenly Father on Father's Day and every day, for He is the giver of life and all that we have.  Have a blessed, safe, and Happy Father's Day this year!
