US Air Force, Army medics team with Paraguay in first-ever active-duty led medical assistance mission at AMISTAD24

U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army personnel sourced from 15 locations around the globe arrived in Paraguay in support of Phase II of AMISTAD24, in the first ever active-duty-led U.S. military medical assistance mission in the country.

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 759th Forward Resuscitative Surgical Detachment (Airborne) deliberate on organizing medical supplies during AMISTAD 24 in Filadelfia, Paraguay, July 31, 2024. The 759th FRSD (ABN) is one of three Airborne surgical teams in the U.S. Army. The unit was originally activated in 1945 and has a rich history of deployment in support of Vietnam War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Freedom Sentinel. The normal battle rhythm for the 759th FRSD (ABN) involves a robust training regimen of tactical training, clinical skills, and airborne operations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
