Those of you who are (or were) in the US Navy or US Marines "should know" what I'm talking about with the question posed in the Topic subject line... respond here and explain it to the audience for me, I'll do it later if yall are unwilling to participate in our little corner of the web... I'm sitting here looking at my own official shellback pocket size card and am thinking its not going back in my wallet until I get it laminated... it's getting pretty worn out and ragged looking but in decent shape considering I "earned" it back in 1980...  the big portrait sized version of the certificate is in a nice big picture frame and displayed proudly in my living room :D
