Watching for Spring

By Ralphine Major

I watch for them each year.  By the time March arrived this year, they were in full bloom.  The flowers all but disappeared with the recent severe storm.   The beautiful yellow daffodils seem to be one of the first signs that spring is not far behind.

Windy March brings so much with her.  It is time for Daylight Savings Time to "spring forward" once again, a time that so many people are happy to see.  For basketball fans, March brings the excitement of tournament play for several weeks.  March often brings unseasonably warm temperatures that tease, causing us to think that winter is over.  But one cold snap will be a stark reminder that winter is not totally done.  So far, not even a snowflake has fallen in March.  In fact, the winter has brought practically no snow to many regions.  Looking toward spring, many turn their thoughts toward Easter Sunday which sometimes comes early in March.  This year, however, the all-important day for Christians falls in the month of April.  Regardless of the month, Easter is truly something to look forward to and celebrate!

Words of Faith: "Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified." Psalm 70:4 (KJV).
