Bike Walk Knoxville, a local nonprofit organization working to make the Knoxville region a better place to bike and walk for people of all ages, abilities, and background, is thrilled to announce an upcoming Walk with Elected Officials on Thursday, October 19, 2023. The walk will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. at Bearden Middle School (1000 Francis Rd, Knoxville, TN 37909) from the back/Middlebrook Pike entrance.

Bike Walk Knoxville's tours with elected officials are a great opportunity to learn about how funding and policy impact infrastructure for biking and walking in our community as well as to engage with local elected officials, advocates, and community members on the important issue of making our streets safe for all people. The tour will highlight walkability at Bearden Middle School and West Hills Elementary School, as well as in West Hills neighborhoods. We encourage participants to come prepared for the walk with proper shoes and a water bottle!
