Graceless and Bad Manners

As a kid, I remember old folks shaking their heads and muttering, "What is the world coming to?"  I didn't understand it then, but now I get it, especially after I heard Prince Harry addressed the United Nations.  Evidently, Goofy from Disney Land was already booked, so the folks at the UN got the next best thing in the British ex-royal who is living in a multi-million dollar spread in California with his wife, Meghan Markle.

Aside from celebrity, which he earned by simply being born into the British royal family, Harry doesn't have much to recommend him aside from a title.  At least the royals were models of good manners.  Well, until Harry married Markle, who is known for her Leftist politics.  It is graceless to come and live in the country and denounce it at the UN.  That's pretty much the very definition of bad manners.

Nothing is keeping him and Markle here.  Apparently, Netflix paid Harry and Markle a tidy sum as part of a "development" deal for its programming.  The Obamas made out like bandits with the same kind of deal as people have left Netflix by the droves, rejecting woke programming.

All told, it was an embarrassing spectacle for all concerned. Hopefully, Goofy won't be on vacation next year.

You Just Can't Make This Stuff Up

Welcome to the age of the Birthing Person!  Say so long to Mom!  Yet another societal innovation brought to you by the far Left in this country.  Mother's Day is clearly going to become a target as it is becoming not only outdated but downright sexist.  Khiara Bridges, a professor from Berekely's law school, had a confrontation with Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri that caused me to stare at the television and wonder if I had missed the opening credits of "The Twilight Zone."  Bridges is the latest amongst the crowd who at one time loved to chant "Follow the science" and now insist men can become pregnant.  Senator Hawley asked Bridges about the term "people with a capacity for pregnancy" and if that meant women.  Bridges condescendingly replied some non-trans women do not have the capacity for pregnancy, while some trans men do.

Bridges let loose with a giggle right out of the Addams Family to interrupt Hawley to say, "I want to recognize your line of questioning is transphobic.  And it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing them."  Somehow she connected that to the suicide rate with Hawley's question and wondered if the senator believes men can get pregnant.  Hawley, like most people who follow science and the great majority of Americans, replied, "No."

So now one cannot even question if men can become pregnant without wreaking havoc and violence upon the trans community; at least not according to Bridges.  Of course, that has as much to do with science (and biology is a science) as a cow has to do with rocket science.  The belief a man can become a woman is not an established scientific fact, but an opinion or belief.

The Left clearly wishes to erase biology and gender.  No more Mom and Dad; welcome to the world of birthing person and sperm donor.  A birthing person has the same level of love and caring as the term "fetus."  Killing a baby brings a visceral reaction from most human beings and the word "mother" conjures a powerful meaning with most people as well.  There is power in words and the Left knows it.

Bye Bye, Bill, and Good Riddance

The slowest man in politics?  Probably former NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio.  DeBlasio, notorious as having been an absolutely awful mayor, ran a fizzled and laughable campaign for president and then flirted with a bid for governor of New York State.  Finally, DeBlasio decided to run for Congress from New York's 10th District.  Now comes the news that DeBlasio has figured out he can't win the Democratic primary.  Wow.  Took you long enough, Bill.  The former mayor says he's done with elective politics and moving on.  Happy trails, Bill, and good riddance.

Republican Momentum

A decade ago, Democrats held a better than half million edge in voter registrations in Kentucky.  For the first time in the Bluegrass State's history, there are now more registered Republicans in Kentucky than Democrats.  Now Republicans continue to make gains in voter registrations.  West Virginia and Florida also now have more registered Republicans than Democrats, according to research from the University of Virginia Center for Politics.

Hypocrisy Rampant With Mainstream Media

Anyone watching television could barely escape the media attention surrounding the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse.  Yet the media has ignored the trial of Stephan Cannon.  Cannon, a Black Lives Matter activist, was on trial for the murder of David Dorn, a retired police captain who was Black.  Cannon was charged with first-degree murder in the brutal slaying of Captain Dorn, along with first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery, stealing $750 or more, unlawful possession of a firearm, as well as three counts of armed criminal action.

David Dorn was murdered when rioters descended upon the pawn shop where he was trying to help a friend.  The 77-year-old retired police captain confronted the robbers, which included Cannon, just before he was murdered.  Video footage of the killing had apparently been posted on Facebook Live.

A jury convicted Stephan Cannon of all the charges.  Where was the media?  The story didn't fit the narrative of its "mostly peaceful protests" and a BLM activist/looter killing another Black person without blinking an eye.
