Magnificent Bluebird

Simple joys often bring the greatest pleasures, like the sight of a beautiful bluebird.  While it is the robin most often associated with spring, the bluebird is a welcome sight as well.  Many songs have been written about the little bluebird over the years.  The arrival of spring in the middle of March brought chilly temperatures and damp, rainy days.  But as I stepped outside one morning, a symphony of birds greeted me with their songs.  The terrible weather did not discourage them from singing at all.

I would like to claim credit for this amazing photo of the bluebird shown here—but I cannot.  The photographer sent this "magnificent bluebird" photo to me to brighten my day.  It did.  I thought it might do the same for Focus readers.  There is no better time than spring to look all around us at the beauty of nature—flowers and bushes blooming; green blades of grass finding their way through the earth; and of course, the robins, red cardinals, and bluebirds with their happy songs.  May we be reminded of God's gifts to us each day during this season of new life.  Happy Spring!
