KUB: Locust Street closing overnight

KUB crews will close a one-block section of Locust Street between W. Church Avenue and Cumberland Avenue to through traffic overnight starting at 9 p.m. Thursday, June 16, and lasting through 5 a.m., Friday, June 17, as work is performed on the underground electric system in the area. Alternate southbound routes include W. Church Avenue, Henley Street, and Main Street. Flaggers will be on-site to assist with vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas.

Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas. More information on this and other UB construction projects can be found at www.kub.org.
