A look toward the sky often reveals amazing wonders. While spring brought us refreshing rains and the magnificent display of the synchronous fireflies, summer has brought us beautiful morning sunrises and glowing sunsets. There is nothing more majestic than white, puffy clouds high above, yet they seem close enough to reach up and touch. Summertime showers and storms have brought lots of rainbows, even double rainbows. The multicolored rainbow is always a reminder of God's promise to never flood the entire earth again. Sadly, in neighboring Kentucky a few weeks ago, the floods were devastating and deadly. For many, they are waiting for fall's blue skies and winter's quiet snows.

The spectacular cloudburst shown here during a recent rainstorm was captured at just the right moment by Perry McGinnis. What a great opportunity for those of us who did not see the actual happening to enjoy the image of it. Perry has shared many outstanding photos over the years with Focus readers, including the Sevier County wildfires, the cross atop Clear Springs Baptist Church standing high above a morning mist, and even some wildlife including deer and wild turkeys. Enjoy each moment that brings its own special marvel. All of them are the work of our Creator, Almighty God.
