As I begin this essay, President Trump is being arrested (arraigned) by Biden's corrupt and weaponized "department of injustice." It would be difficult to imagine President Trump as a sympathetic figure or a victim, but Biden and the Democrat party, the deep state, the major news and social media, academia and Holly-weird have done so.

I'm no lawyer and can't comment on the legal issues in this latest Trump indictment by our utterly corrupt justice system. However, in my career as a doctor, I have experience in psychopathology. Irrational and insane hatred, as well as unbridled and dangerous utilization of governmental power, is on full display.

The institutions of our government have become as corrupt and dangerous as any of those in a "banana republic." We once self-righteously railed against countries that misused power to silence, destroy or imprison political rivals. What hypocrites we have become. And what a sad day for America because we are now all on trial. Make no mistake; if they can destroy President Trump, none of us are safe from a rogue government that no longer respects or serves We the People.

Schadenfreude is a German term that has become part of the English lexicon (vocabulary). It means deriving pleasure from someone else's misfortune. Even in the Vols' recent victory, I felt compassion for Southern Mississippi's baseball team. I see only sick joy from the Democrat talking heads with President Trump's latest indictment. I feel compassion for the most vilified man in the country who is now presumed guilty until proven innocent. And I feel sorry for my country caught in the middle of a political war between the Democrat POTUS and the leading Republican candidate for president.

We used to talk about conspiracy theories, but now so many have become true. A short list of examples includes the now proven illegal email account and server of Hillary Clinton, who then destroyed subpoenaed evidence; the Mueller investigation; the Russian collusion hoax; the 51 intelligence agents' letters of disinformation and the FBI's collusion with the Democrat Party to interfere in the 2016 and 2020 elections. All the while our nation circles the toilet bowl in decline.

I follow my axiom to "read widely, consider carefully and sift everything through my experience and common sense" (JVF). Nonetheless, I struggle to find the truth. These days "news" should come with a disclaimer. There should be a notation that the reported "facts" have been politically redacted.

I learned long ago that all facts are contextual. In other words, scripture taken out of context can be problematic. Even 2+2 may not always equal 4. One might say, "Wait a minute, Ferguson!" And I would reply, "Consider the following:"

The 19th-century philosopher Soren Kierkegaard wrote about what he called "universal" truths. These were concepts that would be acknowledged as true everywhere and with all people. Love might be considered a universal concept. Pragmatically, 1+1=2, but this is not true everywhere because at the event horizon of a black hole, all our science and understanding breaks down. I only mention this to emphasize the context where all "facts" must be sifted.

Of course, the story du jour is President Trump's indictment in Miami. The corrupt media are breathless and feign concern while projecting schadenfreude. However, of greater significance are the audiotapes of then Vice President Biden negotiating a 5-million-dollar payment with the Ukrainian President to replace an investigator critical of the Burisma gas company before a billion-dollar US loan would be released.

Senator Grassley of Iowa is not noted for grandstanding, but last week on the Senate floor he said there are seventeen audio tapes of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden discussing deals with Burisma according to a "highly credible FBI informant." Furthermore, it is alleged that the Burisma gas company deal would guarantee 10% to the "Big Guy," identified as Joe Biden by two sources. And to make matters worse, the FBI had these documents since 2017 when President Trump was being impeached. Grassley said he and others have seen the unredacted FBI 1023 form with its allegations.

The Ukrainian investigator was fired and Hunter Biden was put on the Burisma board of directors with a lucrative salary despite having no knowledge of the oil and natural gas industry.

The reason they are trying to destroy President Trump is he has vowed, "Now that the 'seal' is broken, in addition to closing the border & removing all of the 'criminal' elements that have illegally invaded our country, making America energy independent, & even dominant again, & immediately ending the war between Russia & Ukraine, I will appoint a real special 'prosecutor' to go after the most corrupt president in the history of the USA, Joe Biden, the entire Biden crime family, & all others involved with the destruction of our elections, borders, & country itself!"

President Trump is an existential threat to the Democrats and the Washington establishment. Regarding this latest indictment, Trump also posted, "If this is the cost to see our mission through to the end, to restore our free Republic, and to revive the greatest country in the history of the world, then it's a price I'm willing to pay." It's hard for Washington to deal with a man of principle who is willing to potentially sacrifice himself to "stand in the breach."

I don't know what the truth is. And furthermore, you should not take my opinion or exegesis as gospel. You should be curious and motivated as a citizen to search for and find the truth. At no time in history have we had access to so much information. Long ago, when we once trusted the FBI, Agent Mulder of the X-Files said, "The truth is out there."

Obviously, if your only source of information is the legacy and social media, you will have never heard any of these allegations or the latest "conspiracy theories." So, I recommend you search for the truth. Because as Jesus said, "The truth will set you free."
