How to Make Fire With a Lemon
14 March 2016, 8:17 pm

A video posted online Sunday by North Survival shows an individual demonstrate how to make fire with a lemon.

“This is an awesome survival tip that you don´t want to miss,” he said.

Using six copper clips, six nails, a piece of wire and steel wool, the person harnessed the electricity from the lemon to heat steel wool up enough to create a small fire.

Who is to blame for the violence at Trump rallies?
14 March 2016, 6:38 pm

It’s no secret that Trump rallies can get rowdy, in fact, that’s probably putting it mildly. On Friday night, Trump cancelled a campaign event due to security concerns.

A lot of blame has been passed around for the violence and the underlying forces that create it, but does the true responsibility lie with Trump and his supporters? When asked about his responsibility Trump deflects, arguing that he can’t be held responsible for the protesters.

Bernie Sanders is lying when he says his disruptors aren't told to go to my events. Be careful Bernie, or my supporters will go to yours!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 13, 2016

“I don’t even call them protesters, I call them disrupters,” Trump said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “A lot of them come from Bernie Sanders, whether he wants to say it or not. If he says no, then he’s lying.”

Who do you think is responsible for the violence?

‘Trump Has Tiny Hands PAC’ files with the FEC
7 March 2016, 4:25 pm

A new political action committee is weighing in on recent remarks made by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump regarding his anatomy: Trump Has Tiny Hands PAC.

Henry Kraemer, a resident of Portland, Oregon, filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Monday.

“We believe that it’s critically important for the American people to know about Trump’s tiny baby hands,” Kraemer told TheBlaze. “Say it’s 3 a.m. at the White House and the phone rings, are his hands big enough to pick up the receiver? What’s the point of giving him the nuclear launch codes if his stubby fingers can’t press the launch button?”

(Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images) The PAC’s website has a link to a petition on MoveOn.org urging Trump to “release your official hand measurements to the American public.”

“The republic deserves to know,” it adds.

According to the PAC’s Twitter account, the group is comprised of “patriotic Americans” who are “committed to educating our fellow citizens” about Trump’s “tiny baby hands.”

The PAC uses the Twitter account to poke fun at Trump:

Kraemer said the response to the effort has been “really great.”

“People love us, but one guy called me a trust-fund baby, which is ironic because I grew up working-class, and their candidate actually has trust-fund baby hands,” Kraemer said.

Kraemer said that the group doesn’t support any particular candidate but exists “simply to inform” the public about Trump’s hands.

Massive delays: Huge crowd and concern for security overwhelmed CPAC
5 March 2016, 7:14 am

Due to an overabundance of caution by the Secret Service, attendance at Friday morning’s CPAC sessions was sparse. A typical Friday morning at the conference would have filled the main ballroom with thousands of attendees as the doors opened at 8 a.m. Instead, speakers in the morning sessions played to a half-filled room, with more people outside of the conference than inside — many of them were not too pleased.

Image source: Mike Opelka/TheBlazeImage source: Mike Opelka/TheBlaze The Secret Service was trying to make sure all of the VIPs (candidates, congressmen, senators and media celebrities) and the thousands in attendance were safe. The crush of attendees, however, overwhelmed the security setup, creating delays of over an hour.

CPAC management stepped in and worked with the Secret Service, eventually managing to shrink the lines considerably. Unfortunately, this did not happen until after the majority of the day’s speakers had finished addressing the crowds.

Here’s what we witnessed Friday morning.

We asked an expert: ‘What is the biggest threat to America today?’
4 March 2016, 1:16 pm

Today, using amazing technology, we have the ability to predict dangerous tornadoes, hurricanes, winter storms and terrorist attacks. The question is, “Are you ready?”

David Jones speaks about chemical, nucleur, and biologocial threats at the SGK Gun & Prepper Show in Doswell, Virginia. Photo: Michael Mason / TheBlazeDavid Jones speaks about chemical, nuclear and biological threats at the SGK Gun & Prepper Show in Doswell, Virginia. (Michael Mason/TheBlaze) I had the pleasure of listening to a lecture from David Jones at the SGK Gun & Pepper Show in Doswell, Virginia. Mr. Jones is a retired 24-year veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as an chemical officer. He taught nuclear biological and chemical warfare defense to military personnel all over the world. He is recognized as a weapon of mass destruction expert, and six months after 9/11 occurred David was recalled to active duty.

He spent the next 22 months in the Middle East traveling to 16 different countries conducting vulnerability assessments on U.S. interests in the area. Jones is now an emergency management specialist working for the federal government at a secure facility and has worked with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, NASA and the U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command where he was the only civilian on a nuclear weapons accident response team.

After his talk, I had one question: “What is the biggest threat to America today?” Check out his response:

Another thing I learned at the expo is, in spite of all the capabilities for advance warnings, Americans are still quite poor at preparing for these disasters. Many of us really believe that it can’t happen to us.

In a 2006 poll conducted by Time magazine, 56 percent of respondents said that they had gone through a major disaster. However, only 16 percent believed they were “well prepared” for the next one. Denial, it seems, is an American way of life.

During his lecture, Mr. Jones also “removed the mystery” of the Zika virus:
