Hi everyone,

I know many of you deplore seeing advertisements displayed while you are surfing... I'm not going to go on and on about it but they are here to stay and you should be aware that once you reach a certain level of membership (Full Member) they will disappear. If you see one that is objectionable I do have the ability to have them blocked from our site so speak up... but it's absolutely essential for me to have them here to help defray the cost of upkeep on my little corner of the web. If you are really concerned about it there's some very good ad blocking apps you can install on your browser to block them, I use AdBlock Plus. You don't even have to click on them for me to make money with the ads, but you may notice that they are quite intuitive at displaying some that might just interest you, so by all means go ahead and click it, its painless...

Sixty is the worst age to be," said the 60-year-old man. "You always feel like you have to pee, and most of the time you stand there and nothing comes out."

"Ah, that's nothin," said the 70-year-old. "When you're seventy, you don't have bowel movement any more. You take laxatives, eat bran, sit on the toilet all day and nothin' comes out!"

"Actually," said the 80-year -old, "Eighty is the worst age of all."

"Do you have trouble peeing, too?" asked the 60-year old.

"No, I pee every morning at 6:00. I pee like a racehorse on a flat rock -- no problem at all."

"So, do you have a problem with your bowel movement?" asked the 70-year old.

"No, I have one every morning at 6:30."

Exasperated, the 60-year-old said, "You pee every morning at 6:00 and crap every morning at 6:30. So what's so bad about being 80?"

"I don't wake up until 7:00."

I'm kinda curious to see which members of the local non-profit organizations (that I've already had dealings with) are paying attention to social marketing on the web? I'm going to award all kinds of free advertising and good "karma" to anybody from a local non-profit org who remembers me and posts here... I'll go as far as to say that you may be surprised at how fast others will follow suit and respond to any fund raising efforts you may have in progress or launch at some future date (AND keep in mind that Google loves my Calendar feature & any messages you post here can be linked to Home->Calendar menu option date)  :-[

You might also note that recent SEO improvements to our community here at Web Presence Consulting forums are responsible for a drastic increase in LOCAL traffic and system activity... due to the Global nature of this site, the possibility of going "viral" with your plea is more plausible as each day passes...

OOPs, almost forgot to mention the PayPal feature available here as well... PM me or get my attention in the Chat feature to ask questions about that... we also have very effective anti-spam strategies in place here, I have been working with that aspect of this software platform for a very long time and spammer/scammer wannebe's do not get past me, it's pointless to even try !!

I go for blood right out of the shoot but since I like to play fast I am most definitely prone to miss things and make silly mistakes, I CAN be beaten but you can bet I'll give ya a good game and conversation, anyone got a cigar?

The recent changes to the system dramatically lessen my own and future staff members' workload keeping tabs on scammer & spammer wannebe's, this message is directed right at you, you'll not get past ME, bring it!!...

Points to consider...
  • I've modified the system to NOT allow you to insert links or images in several different fields of your Forum Profile admin settings where there's typically no validation on other SMF powered sites...
  • Certain fields are modified so that these restrictions are permanent, I will let you know in subsequent replies which fields are restricted permanently as these hacks are not quite bullet proof yet
  • The majority of the changes are not permanent however, once you satisfy a predetermined number of successful postings the system will allow you to replace the links or image
  • Keep in mind that my admin settings may need a little tweaking as time progresses so the requirements may change again later

Some other tips about Forum Profile fields that you should be aware of...
  • PayPal address - newly registered members ARE allowed to have guests send you payments via PayPal by filling in your address in the field for that purpose... HOWEVER, read the next few bullet points carefully for smooth functioning of this feature
  • The PayPal address field is tied to the field directly above AND the one directly below your PayPal address
  • You must select one of the choices of icons in the drop down list in the Buy Me a Drink field in order for other users to know that you are allowing payments to be sent to your PayPal account
  • This feature is extremely useful for paying out cash prizes to the winners of the various contests we will be conducting in the future, as well as completing transactions between buyer/seller of items in the Buy/Swap/Sell forums from the main menu option Forum
  • For a humorous little quirk of the module that powers the BuyMeADrink module, try sending a payment to yourself  :D

01/31/2017 Update !! The posting restriction has been applied to the paypal address field too, you can see what these restrictions are by observing and reading the text in small print that may or may not appear just below the input block for editing your signature, they will disappear when you satisfy the restriction in question, but you need to assume that the restriction applies to many of the other text entry fields as well, such as social icons.

Look in the main menu system under Banner Exchange to find this option...

It's a very old module that is basically a simple banner exchange between site owners, the only thing it costs is an email address to register an account here and making a couple normal comment posts anywhere here... free publicity is great for everyone and normally there is a restriction that the person posting a banner here must post our banner on their website pointing back to here... BUT if I really like your site sometimes I will waive that restriction and give you free traffic from here, can't beat free can you?

There is a significant drawback if I waive that though... the in-clicks statistic associated with your banner will not function correctly...

Oh, almost forgot, pay no attention to the icon on the right side of the screen when you are viewing the list of banners, ever since Google stopped using pageranks that icon is useless now... also note that all the banners scroll across the bottom of the Forum Page, more free advertising... enjoy
